Georgia Performance Standards

I believe it means that they just want us to know and really understand what we are reading or anything else. It really wants us to be able to do things in many different ways instead of one way all the time. I don't remember what figurative language is? I'm thinking that it is something to with maybe the type of language it is using. For example: Othello. or Lebron James Is the Bomb....No, he is not the bomb!!
